Random Selection Control-Details

Note: The articles referenced here were taken directly from the help system.

RandomWare provides a number of controls to generate randomly selected lists.

General Random Selection Control: This selection control provides the greatest amount of flexibility. It provides options to select for two tests at one time.  Enter a selection percentage or the number of entries to select for each test specified.  Selection Filters can be entered, reducing the number of individuals considered for the selection.  You can Indicate a number of alternates, by percentage or count, for each test.  The alternates, of course, are randomly selected.

Super Double Jeopardy: This selection control minimizes the number of people selected.

Building Selection Lists Incrementally: You can build a selection list with repeated use of the selection controls. Each selection is appended to the last.

Simple Random Selection: Generate a random selection. Enter percentage of count and indicate the number of alternates. Does not include drug & alcohol testing specifications.

Exclusion: Specify the number of days by which to control a diminished list from which to generate a random selection.  For non-mandated testing programs, avoid selecting individuals already selected and tested within a specified period.
